Biography:
Dr. Holger Feist is an entrepreneurial market strategist and digital transformation leader, and has been driving corporate growth and performance throughout his career. His leadership experience includes various industries (exhibitions, media, consulting, education) in functions like general management, corporate and business development, M&A, controlling, marketing, communications and innovation. As Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Messe München, Holger has been working with various corporate/business development as well as marketing/communications teams over the last 7+ years. He led the IAA pitch team for Messe München in 2020, initiated its partnership with Bits & Pretzels and acted as Messe München’s chief corporate spokesperson. Within UFI, Holger has been active in the Marketing Working Group since 2015, where he was elected Vice Chairman in 2018 and Chairperson in 2020. Before entering the exhibition industry, Holger held various positions at Hubert Burda Media, including CEO of Burda Intermedia Publishing and MD of Focus TV, and with McKinsey & Company. Holger studied economics in Munich, where he also obtained his doctoral degree, and served as a Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University. Married, two kids, one dog.
