Born and raised in Colombia, Maria Victoria considers herself a citizen of the world. Maria Victoria has spent time in Colombia, Italy, USA, Switzerland, and now, Costa Rica (her favorite so far), studying and working in the Event Industry.

Maria Victoria has a bachelor’s degree in International Hotel & Tourism Management from Johnson & Wales University, and a master’s in Business Administration in International Hospitality and Service Industries from Glion Institute of Higher Education, as well as being CMP certified (Certified Meeting Professional by the Event Industry Council) since 2016.

Maria Victoria has been working in venue administration for the past nine years with Grupo Heroica, a venue operating company. Currently Costa Rica Convention Center’s Operations Manager, Maria Victoria oversees all space rental, event logistics, food & beverage, audiovisuals, safety, and security and building operation.

Maria Victoria is a travel enthusiast and a runner at heart. She dedicates her early morning to running, and her time off work to tackle half marathons around the world, always with a good read and coffee at hand.
