How to Reach the Congress Venue

  • From Hong Kong International Airport:
By Airport Express: A 2-minute journey from Airport Station to AsiaWorld-Expo Station.

  • From High-Speed Rail - Hong Kong West Kowloon Station:
Connecting the Airport Express:  Walkable distance to the Airport Express Kowloon Station (5-minute), followed by a 25-minute journey to AsiaWorld-Expo.

  • From Official Hotels: Regala Skycity Hotel and SkyCity Marriott Hotel
On foot: A 2 to 5-minute walk via the connecting footbridge.

Registration area and opening times

The UFI Registration Desk will be located at AsiaWorld-Expo on 1st Floor (1/F) East Lobby and will be open at the following times:

Tuesday 18 November: 15:00-17:30
Wednesday 19 November: 8:00-17:30
Thursday 21 November: 8:00-17:30
Friday 22 November: 8:00-16:00

🎉 Welcome Reception

Celebrate 100 Years of UFI in 1920s Style!

Date and Time: 7:30 PM-10:00 PM on Wednesday 19 November
Dress Code: For those wanting to embrace our Centenary celebrations you can dress in Roaring Twenties fashion - flapper dresses, pearls, and headbands for ladies, and suits, and bow ties for gentlemen. Add a vintage touch and get ready to celebrate the decade UFI was born! We will have a selection of props available for those with limited luggage capacity.

Venue: AsiaWorld-Expo – Hall 11 ground floor

Date and Time: 6:30-07:45 on Thursday 20 November

Choose between a Running Session, perfect for all fitness levels, or a Tai Chi Session! The Tai Chi session will be led by Master Sifu Chui Shing Yip Jeff, an expert instructor who will guide participants through gentle movements that promote focus, flexibility, and inner calm.

Meeting point at 6:30 AM in the lobbies of the Regala and Marriott hotels.
UFI Sports Club T-shirts will be provided.

🍽️ Congress Dinner

Date and Time: 7:00 PM-11:00 PM on Thursday 20 November
Dress Code: Business Casual
Please remember to wear your delegate badge to the dinner

🚌Transport:
  • Private buses will be available from AsiaWorld-Expo East Entrance (ground floor) and from the official hotels – Regala and Marriott to M+. 
  • Buses will depart from official hotels and AsiaWorld-Expo at: 7:00 PM / 7:15 PM / 7:30 PM
  • Buses will return to the official hotels from M+ at:
    10:15 PM / 10:30 PM / 10:45 PM and 11:00 PM.
The itinerary will be as follows: 
M+➡️Regala Hotel ➡️AWE ➡️Marriott.

đźš‹ Tram Party

Date and Time: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM on Friday 21 November
Buses will depart from official hotels and AsiaWorld-Expo at 5:00 PM, 5:15 PM and 5:30 PM.
Duration: The Tram Party runs for approximately 1.5 hours, concluding at the city drop-off point (Central) around 7:30 PM-7:45 PM. 

After the tram ride, immerse yourself in Lan Kwai Fong—Hong Kong’s most iconic nightlife district and make your way to Baci, a vibrant Italian eatery. 

Guests who are not attending the Dinner at Baci may depart at this time. For those joining the dinner, the evening will continue, and you will be free to explore the city at your leisure from 9:00 PM onwards.
Please note that transportation back to the official hotels will not be provided.

Please remember to wear your delegate badge.

Buses will depart from each of the official hotels at 10:00 AM

Participants joining the post-congress tours may bring their luggage on the buses.

Travel Tips

🌦️Weather Forecast

Hong Kong in November enjoys mild autumn weather, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 19°C to 25°C (66°F to 77°F). Humidity is moderate, and rainfall is generally low, making it a pleasant time to visit. A light jacket or sweater is recommended for cooler evenings.

🔌Power & Electricity

Hong Kong uses the UK-style Type G three-pin power plugs, with a standard voltage of 220V and a frequency of 50Hz. Delegates from regions using different plug types or voltages should bring appropriate adapters or converters

đź’± Currency

The local currency is the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD). Major credit cards are widely accepted, and ATMs are easily accessible throughout the city. Currency exchange services are available at the airport, hotels, and banks. It's advisable to carry some cash for small purchases and transport (especially taxis). 

🧭 Other Useful Tips

  • Language: English and Cantonese are both official languages. English is commonly used in hotels, transport, and signage.

  • Transport: The MTR (Mass Transit Railway) is clean, efficient, and the best way to get around the city. Taxis are also readily available.

  • Tipping: Tipping is not obligatory, but rounding up the bill or leaving 5–10% in restaurants is appreciated.

  • Connectivity: Free Wi-Fi is available in many public areas. Local SIM cards and eSIMs are also available for visitors.

Entry Regulations

All delegates planning to attend the UFI Congress in Hong Kong are advised to check the entry requirements applicable to their nationality well in advance of travel. Hong Kong maintains its own immigration policies, and visa-free access is granted to citizens of many countries for short stays. However, some nationalities do require a visa or pre-arrival registration before entering Hong Kong.

To ensure a smooth arrival, delegates should consult the official Hong Kong Immigration Department website to confirm whether they need a visa and to access up-to-date information on entry conditions:
