- Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), leading the development and execution of comprehensive tourism strategies that advance the Kingdom’s national vision. This role includes close coordination with the Government Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the Prime Minister’s office to elevate Bahrain’s tourism sector and contribute to long-term national development goals.
At the helm of BTEA, oversight includes tourism infrastructure development and the cultivation of strategic partnerships with local and international stakeholders. These initiatives are designed to enhance Bahrain’s tourism offerings, enrich visitor experiences, and strengthen the Kingdom’s global positioning as a premier travel destination through targeted marketing campaigns.
Serving as Chairman of Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB). Strategic direction is provided to align EWB with Bahrain’s broader tourism objectives, with a focus on advancing the MICE sector. Operational excellence, innovation, and international standards are emphasized to position EWB as a regional and global leader in business tourism.
Board memberships include Al Dana Amphitheatre, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and Gulf Air Group Holding, reflecting an ongoing commitment to national service and cross-sector collaboration.
Bringing a distinguished background in communications, which leadership in delivering major national events and initiatives such as the Government Forum, Government Innovation Competition (Fikra), Gateway Gulf, and the Prime Minister’s Fellowship Program.
Extensive experience spans both government and private sectors, including previous roles as Assistant Undersecretary for Media and Communication in the Prime Minister’s Office (2021), General Coordinator for Media and Communication (2020), and Director of the Communications Department in the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (2017 to 2023). Earlier experience includes serving as Acting Director of Corporate Communications at the Global Banking Corporation.
